Tibet Radio and Television Station is a provincial-level state-owned radio and television organization in the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China .
It is jointly organized by the Tibet People's Broadcasting Station and Tibet TV Station.
It is directly affiliated to the government of the autonomous region and accepts the leadership of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region.
Tibet People's Broadcasting Station （西蔵人民広播電台・西蔵人民广播电台）
The predecessor of the Tibet People’s Broadcasting Station can be traced back to the Lhasa Cable Broadcasting Station, which was broadcast on October 1, 1953.
The Lhasa cable radio station broadcasts in Tibetan language every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 to 12:00 . It has the nature of a united front.
The main content is to introduce the Tibetan policy of the Communist Party of China and the Central People ’s Government and the face of China.
Conducting " anti-imperialist patriotic " education for people from all walks of life in Lhasa .
On December 28, 1958, the Lhasa Cable Broadcasting Station borrowed a 3.5kW short-wave transmitter from the Lhasa Post and Telecommunications Bureau for radio broadcast trials and was successful.
On New Year's Day in 1959, the radio station officially began radio broadcasting, and changed its name to "Lhasa People's Broadcasting Station" , broadcasting 8 hours a day in Tibetan Chinese . The Lhasa cable radio station broadcasts in Tibetan language every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 to 12:00 . It has the nature of a united front.
